Completely redesigned for the 2014 model year, the 2016 Nissan Rogue now sports an exterior look that’s a real head-turner.
Because there are so many good things to talk about when it comes to the new 2016 Nissan Rogue, it’s almost difficult to decide where to start. For starters, there’s the Rogue's sporty yet smart exterior design (which, by the way, has been completely overhauled over the previous generation). Then there’s the available AWD and third row seating -- wait, what?! That’s right. Oh, and did we mention the fuel-efficient CVT. Ok, we’re getting ahead of ourselves now…
Completely redesigned for the 2014 model year, the 2016 Nissan Rogue now sports an exterior look that’s a real head-turner. You’ll immediately notice that the new Rogue sports Nissan’s brand new “V-Motion” design language helping the Rogue make a striking mark on the crossover segment. Modern, sophisticated and playful to boot, the 2016 Nissan Rogue is definitely attractive.
Step inside the 2016 Nissan Rogue and that modern flare continues. With features such as Nissan’s EZ Flex seating system, the Rogue offers passengers comfortable seating, as well as versatile cargo options for all your weekend adventure needs. If you’ve not experience Nissan’s Zero Gravity and Quick Comfort heated front seats, you’ll most definitely have to check them out in the new Rogue (and we bet you’ll want to bring them home for everyday use). You’ll also be pleased to know that the back seat also offers slide and recline options. All those features coupled with the fact that Nissan stepped up the material quality in the 2016 Rogue, and you’ve got a vehicle that looks and feels well above its price point.
The 2016 Nissan Rogue also offers available NissanConnect featuring handsfree capability with your smartphone with Siri Eyes Free. A bevy of safety features such as front braking collision mitigation, around-view birds-eye cameras, blind spot monitoring, and even moving object detection (perfect for city driving and tight parking spaces) keep driver and occupants protected at all times in the 2016 Rogue, as well.
Behind that V-Motion grin you’ll find a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. A CVT transmission is paired to the engine, and power can be sent to either the front or all wheels. Of course, the Rogue’s all-weather capabilities is one of its best selling points. With a higher ride height and an AWD system that continuously monitors conditions on the road and can adjust power to the necessary wheel 30 times faster than you can blink an eye, the 2016 Rogue might just be the ultimate winter warrior for small families.
And this crossover’s not just capable; it’s efficient too, with a combined fuel rating of 7.1L/100km (according to Nissan). The 2016 Rogue offers up a dynamic ride and drive experience without stripping your wallet of all dollars at the pumps.
Then there’s the exclusive-to-Canada 2016 Nissan Rogue SV Special Edition model. This Canuck-specific model features 17” wheels, push-button start, heated front seats, fog lights, rear privacy glass, and a retractable cargo cover (to mention a few things), and all for a price you’re sure to be impressed with. Time to give’r and check it out, eh?
