At the tip of these safety systems is a host of sensors around the vehicle that provide information that may initiate a system alert or mechanical intervention.
Lane Departure Warning is a valuable safety technology, especially during long trips where the driver may become distracted and the vehicle begins to leave the lane. The system provides alerts so the driver can take action, avoiding a serious collision. Remaining Nissan Safety Shield 360 technologies include: Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and High Beam Assist, and Rear Intelligent Emergency Braking. Every Rogue model also includes Intelligent Driver Alertness technology. This advancement detects driver fatigue through steering patterns and initiates alerts when the system senses erratic driving. The ProPILOT Assist system is the most advanced of its kind on the market.
