Nissan introduces Christmas-themed jingles for the Nissan LEAF

The Nissan LEAF is known as the pioneer of electric cars in Canada. Now, it will also be known as the pioneer of Christmas-themed jingles inside a vehicle. Nissan announced two new holiday-inspired jingles which will debut on the 2020 Nissan LEAF.

The first plays under 30 km/h as the LEAF is driving along to notify other vehicles and pedestrians of its presence. Electric cars, after all, don’t emit an engine sound which can make them harder to detect. The second tone will play when the LEAF is in reverse.

Both tones combine to create a song with the first tone called “Canto” used to create the rhythm. The second tone when in reverse completes the first tone. The two together are a combination of Jingle Bells and Angels We Have Heard on High. The tones will be available on a streaming platform.
