2019 Nissan Murano bows at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show

Nissan had a lot going on at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. For starters, the Japanese automaker unveiled the brand-new Nissan Maxima and then followed that up with the new 2019 Nissan Murano.

A Long List of Improvements in the 2019 Nissan Murano

The Nissan Murano is a five-seat mid-size sport utility vehicle that provides buyers with impressive comfort, a design that stands out and a ton of active safety technology. That’s even more true this year with the new Murano which now offers Nissan Safety Shield 360.

For those that don’t know, Nissan Safety Shield 360 provides Murano owners with a long list of active safety and driver assistance technologies which monitor everything happening around the Murano. The systems can warn the driver of a possible danger or intervene to prevent an accident.

The features found in Nissan Safety Shield 360 include Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Intelligent Emergency Braking.

"Nissan Safety Shield 360 is now available on five 2019 models. In addition to Murano, it will be offered on the 2019 Altima, Rogue, Qashqai and Maxima," said Rhind. "Moving forward, Safety Shield 360 will be offered as standard equipment on one million new Nissan vehicles sold annually in North America by 2021."

The new Nissan Murano will be easy to spot thanks to its new V-Motion grill, an aggressive visual signature that provides both added refinement and a hint of sportiness to the new 2019 Murano. A 3.5-liter V6 engine can be found powering the new Murano under the hood.

"The first-generation Nissan Murano had a profound impact on the SUV market when it was introduced in 2003. As a pioneer of the CUV trend, it offered forward-looking design sensibility that combined an elegant style with premium features – without a luxury price tag," said Steve Rhind, director of marketing, Nissan Canada Inc.
