2017 Nissan Pathfinder: the midsize SUV you’ve been looking for
The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has been refreshed this year, three years after Nissan introduced the latest-generation Pathfinder to the market back in 2014.

For 2017, Nissan’s three-row, seven-passenger SUV gets a redesigned exterior giving it a more muscular overall look, new safety technology, an improved infotainment system, and even more features.

These all combine with one of the most spacious cabins in the midsize SUV segment, a refined and quiet ride, a comfortable cabin, and plenty of versatility to make the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder the go-to option for buyers who need a lot of space for their families, but that do not want to have to buy a minivan.

A V6 engine and plenty of power in the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder features a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 284 horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s 24 horsepower more than last year’s model. This engine is paired with a standard XTronic CVT automatic transmission, and power is fed to all four wheels in every trim except the entry-level S V6 model which starts at $32,498. That model is offered in both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive.

Thanks to the more powerful engine, the 2017 Pathfinder can tow up to 6,000 pounds. All-wheel drive versions also have an average fuel economy rating of just 8.9 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway. Not bad for a midsize SUV that offers room for seven passengers and more than 1,200 pounds of cargo space with the third-row seats folded flat.

There are six versions of the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

The entry-level S V6 model comes with tri-zone climate controls to ensure that even your passengers in the back get the cool air they may need in summer, along with 18-inch wheels and Nissan’s EZ Flex seating system for improved versatility. For 2017, Nissan also introduces a new Midnight Edition model which features 20-inch black wheels to complement a black rear spoiler and black outside mirrors. A Bose premium audio system is also featured in the new 2017 Nissan Pathfinder Midnight Edition along with a dual panoramic sunroof.

Other features found in the various versions of the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder include a motion activated power tailgate, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, remote engine start system, Nissan’s intelligent key system, and forward emergency braking.
