2020 Nissan TITAN vs. 2020 Ford F-150

The refreshed TITAN makes several performance and technology improvements for 2020. When compared to the 2020 Ford F-150, it makes a stand.

The TITAN begins with a segment-exclusive bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers five years or 160,000 km (whichever comes first). The F-150’s bumper-to-bumper warranty only covers three years or 60,000 km on all parts. That’s a big risk, especially for such an investment and the F-150’s reputation in terms of reliability.

Less is more with the 2020 Nissan TITAN

Many light-duty truck manufacturers make large numbers of engines for their model lineups. This creates confusion during the shopping process. Nissan goes against the grain and offers one powerful engine for all TITAN trims—an eight-cylinder engine that has a best-in-class 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.

Ford offers several engines, but most don’t live up to the capability of the TITAN’S eight-cylinder. Plus, the TITAN saves you money by including it with the entry trim. There’s no upgrading needed with the TITAN to access a great engine. The TITAN also features a nine-speed automatic transmission standard beginning on base models. You have to settle with a six-speed transmission with the F-150 or upgrade to access better equipment. Once again, the TITAN beats the F-150 in value.

For 2020, the TITAN includes new off-road technology that you won’t find in the F-150. The enhanced Off Road Gauge shows important angles and relative pitch that include a higher level of accuracy. This creates more opportunities for off-road enthusiasts to more confidently open up fresh paths.

The 2020 Nissan TITAN features a leading interior

Inside, Nissan furnishes the cab with seating perfect for Canadian weather. The “zero-gravity” seats are among the most comfortable in the segment, and the TITAN makes available heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Each TITAN features a safety package that includes standard features such as forward collision warning and blind spot warning. On the F-150, these only appear in higher grade levels. A 360-degree camera and Intelligent Cruise Control are available on TITAN’s lower grade levels but are less accessible with the F-150. Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Driver Alertness System is optional on the TITAN, but is not found on any F-150 trim.
