New limited-edition T-spec Nissan GT-R introduced in September

The Nissan GT-R is one of the most iconic performance cars in automotive history, and Nissan continues to make subtle changes to the GT-R lineup, like the new limited-edition T-spec model introduced earlier this year.

The 2022 Nissan GT-R T-spec slots above the GT-R Premium and will give GT-R enthusiasts a little more to get excited about. The GT-R T-spec features wider front fenders taken from the last GT-R Track edition, gold RAYS forged aluminum wheels, and a special carbon fiber rear spoiler.

Other cosmetic changes include body-colour door mirrors, black hood ducts, and T-spec badging. Mechanically, the T-spec gets carbon ceramic brakes and brake air guides which are lifted off the GT-R NISMO.

That said, the T-spec stands out mainly because of its two exclusive exterior colours, Millenium Jade and Midnight Purple. GT-R fans will know that Millenium Jade was the colour offered on the R34 GT-R Spec II Nur, one of the most exclusive, unique, and rare GT-R models every built. Only 156 units of this limited edition GT-R were built in Millenium Jade, and this is the first time the colour has ever been offered in Canada.

Midnight Purple is inspired by another significant colour in GT-R history, Midnight Purple III. Offered on the R34 V-Spec, this colour was only found on 100 vehicles worldwide.

The interior is painted Mori Green and features pearl suede accents, quilted Alcantara on the headligner, and T-spec badging.

The powertrain is similar to the traditional GT-R. A 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 powers the beast with 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch gearbox with paddle shifters handles the power distribution which is sent to all four wheels.

Pricing for the 2022 Nissan GT-R T-spec is set at $162,498, and only a limited number of units will be available for Canada.
